$175 per skater - 12 weeks


Remaining ice times:

  1. ​Saturday 3/17 12:30pm Pilgrim Rink (Hingham) - makeup date
  2. Sunday 3/25 9:20am Rockland Ice Rink
  3. Sunday 4/8 9:20am Rockland Ice Rink - last skate with portion of ice as an introduction to hockey and a simulation of the Seahawks Learn to Play Hockey games.


  • Ages:  Recommend 3 years or older.  Younger children have success on a case by case basis.
  • Where:  Rockland Ice Rink at 599 Summer St. Rockland, MA 02370
  • When:  9:20 AM on Sundays
  • BLACKOUT DATES (NO ICE on these Sundays):  3/18, 4/1
  • Mandatory equipment:  Helmet (strongly recommend a hockey helmet with cage), skates, and hockey or water proof gloves
  • Other equipment recommended, but not mandatory:  Elbow pads, knee pads/full shin pads, neck guard, waterproof clothing in case of falls, snow pants/hockey pants (with the padded bottoms)
  • We recommend if your child is new and needs a device to hold onto, that you bring 2 milk crates secured together for a proper height.  We will have a limited amount of sleds available at the rink for the students to use.
  • The ice will be separated into 2-3 different levels of skaters from beginners to more advance.  At each level, the kids will be working on their balance and skating skills using various games and drills.
  • Registering:​
    1. Register your child with USA Hockey (USA Hockey registration is free for children under 6) to obtain a USA hockey number. Go to: http://www.usahockeyregistration.com/login to register.  This is mandatory for all hockey programs nationwide.
    2. ​Register your child with the South Shore Seahawks (you will need your USA hockey number).  Go to:  https://leagueathletics.com/Registration/Default.asp?n=114429&org=SOUTHSHORESEAHAWKS.ORG to register.
  • Volunteering/Coaching:  If you have any hockey/figure skating background and would like to help coach on the ice, please contact Coach John.  We are all volunteers and could use any extra help.
  • Parents:  ​Parents are welcome on the ice with their child.  All parents on the ice must wear a helmet.
